Self-styled evangelist, Patricia Asiedua, popularly known as Nana Agradaa, has been sentenced to 15 years imprisonment with hard labour by an Accra Circuit Court. The judgment follows several complaints made by victims who accused her of defrauding them under false pretenses.

The court found Agradaa guilty of collecting huge sums of money from unsuspecting members of the public with promises of doubling their cash through spiritual means. Many of her victims testified that she convinced them to bring their money to her, claiming that she had the power to multiply it through her so-called "money rituals."

After months of investigations and legal proceedings, the court concluded that she deliberately misled and scammed the public. The judge, in delivering the sentence, said the punishment was necessary to deter others who may be tempted to use religion or spiritual claims to exploit people.

Nana Agradaa, who was once known for operating a shrine before switching to Christianity, gained public attention through her television appearances. However, her past caught up with her, leading to multiple criminal charges and now her eventual conviction.
